Medieval Pants were loose fit, they are basically tied by belts or elastic. They were loose fit from hips to knee or ankle, some of them were parallel to knee also. Skilled tailoring techniques were used while using the rich fabrics of Rayon Viscous and Cotton. Pirate pants were also designed in same fashion. They had elastic from knee to ankle or at ankle only to give pants a puffy look. To enrich the design some pirate pants also had frills at waist and at ankle.
